Europe is entering a defining phase of its energy transition. As the European Union seeks to strengthen its competitiveness, enhance economic resilience and deliver on its climate and energy objectives, policymakers and industry leaders face increasingly complex choices. Geopolitical uncertainty, growing global competition, rising investment needs and the imperative to ensure affordable, secure and sustainable energy are reshaping the debate on Europe's future development model.

PKEE Energy Day 2026 will take place at this pivotal moment. Hosted by the Polish Electricity Association (PKEE), it will take place on 9 September at the historic Bibliothèque Solvay in Brussels. Over the years, this annual event has become an established platform for dialogue on European energy policy, bringing together senior representatives of the EU institutions, Member States, the energy sector, industry, financial institutions, think tanks and civil society.

Taking place at the start of the new political season in Brussels and shortly after the expected publication of the revised EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS) proposal and the Electrification Action Plan, PKEE Energy Day 2026 will be among the first high-level opportunities to thoroughly discuss the implications of these crucial initiatives for Europe's competitiveness, investment landscape and clean energy transition. Participants will examine how affordable, secure and clean electricity can support industrial growth, attract investment and strengthen Europe's technological leadership, while exploring how EU energy and climate policies can better reconcile climate ambition with competitiveness, security of supply and affordability across the diverse realities of the Member States.

The event will bring together more than 200 high-level participants, including European and national policymakers, regulators, business leaders and representatives of key stakeholder organisations, to discuss the policies, partnerships and investments needed to build a competitive, resilient, and decarbonised European energy system.
