Energy Trilemma in Poland, Czechia, and Germany
The event will be an opportunity for the decision-makers, experts and industry representatives from Czechia, Germany and Poland to discuss the current geopolitical and energy transition challenges for the three neighbouring countries as well as the whole EU.
The invasion of Russia on Ukraine was a wake-up call for some of the EU countries to accelerate its energy diversification efforts and to consider how to manage the existing dependencies. Closing the infrastructure gaps to allow diversification could be a first step in regional cooperation. These geopolitical challenges come at the time of a crucial revision of EU climate law aimed to deliver Fit for 55 goals. Despite all the differences, Czechia, Germany and Poland are facing similar challenges, aiming to reduce their emissions, while ensuring just transition and energy security.
The conference will focus on the above-mentioned challenges and the EU’s as well as the national policies related to the energy transition, European carbon market reforms, the decarbonization of transport and building sectors, the energy prices, coal phase out challenges and REPowerEU initiative will be among the discussed topics.
We will provide simultaneous interpretation in two language versions: Polish and English and transmission on three social media: YT, TT, FB.
