Secure, Competitive and Clean – Is Europe Delivering on Its Energy Promise?

Reality Check: One Year Since the Draghi Report

As Europe faces growing geopolitical, economic, and technological pressures, two strategic imperatives dominate the EU agenda: strengthening competitiveness and ensuring security in all its dimensions. In both areas, the role of the energy sector is not just important - it is fundamental.

This high-level event, “Clean, Secure and Competitive – Is Europe Delivering on Its Energy Promise?”, will align closely with the priorities of the Danish EU Presidency, as well as the current legislative and strategic efforts of the European Commission and the European Parliament. It will also serve as a timely reality check - an opportunity to assess how far the EU has progressed in addressing the challenges so clearly diagnosed in Mario Draghi’s landmark report, one year after its publication.

Held at Concert Noble in the heart of Brussels’ EU district, the event will bring together 200–250 senior stakeholders, including high-level policymakers, business leaders, and institutional partners, to assess progress and identify the urgent next steps.

This year’s Energy Day will be held in collaboration with Euractiv as the official media partner.
